Naomi takes silver at Aussie Athletic Championships

Matthew Flinders Anglican College student Naomi Fitzpatrick has claimed silver in the 400m Under 14 girls at the Australian All Schools and Youth Athletics Championships held in Hobart from December 4-7.
Naomi ran a personal best time of 58.91sec to take second place in the 400m. She also contested the 800m but did not earn a spot in the final.
Naomi, who has only been running competitively for the past 18 months, was among six Flinders students who were selected to compete at the Hobart meet held at the Domain Athletics Centre.
Lucy Larsen, Gabi Gregoriou, Jarryd Gould, Ashleigh Harris and Courtney Martin all won selection during the Queensland Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships held at the Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre from October 22-25.
Naomi is a recipient of a 2010 Matthew Flinders Anglican College Co-Curricular Scholarship.
