Flinders Rugby Club
Thank you for taking an interest in the Flinders Rugby Club.
The Flinders Rugby Club is a “Flinders Activity Club” under the constitution of the Matthew Flinders Anglican College Parents and Friends’ Association Inc. Although managed by parents and friends, the College provides support in many areas, including grounds (and their upkeep), practice facilities and some aspects of administration.
The Club participates in the junior competition run by the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union (SCRU). We field teams from Under 7s up to U12s. We welcome all players and if numbers permit, can field more than one team in each age group.
Games are played on Saturday mornings (generally between 8 and 11am depending on age group) between April and August each year with a break during the school holidays. We play at a number of venues throughout the Coast including Noosa, Peregian, Eumundi, Nambour, Kawana, Buderim, Caloundra and Maleny.
Games are played under official Australian Rugby Union (ARU) rules and co-ordinated by the SCRU.
Each team trains at least one afternoon each week during the season. Additional training may be arranged by coaching staff.
We welcome not only students from Matthew Flinders Anglican College, but also from other local schools.
