The Principal's Scholarship

(Information for entrance in 2013)

In order to assist external students to attend Matthew Flinders Anglican College, The Principal’s Scholarship is offered to outstanding students not currently enrolled at the College.

The Principal’s Scholarship will offer full remission of tuition fees for a new student entering Years 7-12 in 2013. The scholarship will be awarded for the duration of the student’s Secondary schooling, and will be subject to an annual review. The awarding of this scholarship will be at the Principal’s discretion.

To apply, the applicant must:

• Be an external student not currently enrolled at Matthew Flinders Anglican College, and who, due to financial constraints, would not normally be able to consider a Flinders education.
• Apply and be selected as a recipient of one of the following scholarships: Academic; General Excellence; Performance – Music; Performance – Co-Curricular.
• The applicant’s family must be prepared to complete a financial statement. This will include disclosure, in strict confidence, of the family’s financial situation.

Submission should include:

1. A completed application form for The Principal’s Scholarship.
2. A completed financial statement.
3. A short essay from the student, in his or her own handwriting, introducing himself/herself and saying why he/she would like to come to Flinders.
4. Completion and submission of scholarship application/s for Academic, General Excellence, Performance – Music or Performance – Co-Curricular, including payment of required fee/s.  

There is no additional fee to apply for The Principal’s Scholarship.

Short-listed applicants and their parents will be invited to attend an interview with the Principal. Scholarship winners will be announced following this process.
