2009 OP Results

Year 12 Outcomes 2009

We are very pleased to report that our Year 12 students of 2009 have achieved outstanding results, building on the wonderful record of success of previous years.

Five students achieved an OP 1 and another seven students achieved an OP 2. However, it was the very large numbers who achieved an OP 3 (12), OP 4 (12), OP 5 (12), OP 6 (10) and OP 7 (11) that made the results so impressive. A remarkable 36.4% of the group achieved OP 1-5 while 52.3% achieved an OP 1-7, compared to 18.3% and 28.7% State-wide respectively.  Over 90% achieved OP 1-14. These statistics break all previous College records.

Particular congratulations go to our OP 1 students: Patrick Beall, Alexandra Hand, Eloise Norman, Alex Tedman and Emily Thompson. Two students, Alexandra Hand and Eloise Norman, were awarded joint dux - both were outstanding in their individual achievements.

The seven students awarded an OP 2 were: Phoebe Davidson, Xanthe Dobbie, Jack Huntley, Hayley Knaggs, Katie McMahon, Ashleigh Rogers and Helena Sutherland.

These results were possible because of wonderful QCS scores. 33.6% of our students achieved an ‘A’ on the QCS Test and another 34.4% scored a ‘B’. This compared to 15.6% and 27.8% State-wide.

All Year 12 students are to be congratulated for their significant personal achievements and for their contribution to the group performance. We are very proud of you all.
