Athletics
Teams
The Secondary School fields a Track and Field team in the SCISSA inter-school competition, for students who turn 13 in the year of completion to those turning 18.
Competitions
The MFAC Secondary team participates in the SCISSA Zone Carnival held in early third term. Successful athletes progress to the Regional Trials and then State Championships.
Training
Training sessions take place on the MFAC Main on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, starting early in term one and continuing until early in term four.
Teacher in Charge
Mr Phil Coppock is one of the College’s Mathematics teachers. He is a passionate ex-triathlete and athletics coach who has overseen the College’s athletics and cross country program for the past 6 years. He is a Level IV ATFCA coach and has been a State coach for 10 years and more recently been appointed the Australia School Sport Track and Field Coach.
