Flinders runaway winners at Independent championships
Teams
The College selects a boys and girls team of 60 athletes, 6 from each age group from ages 13 to 19.
Competitions
The team represents the College at both the SCISSA Cross Country in early second term and also at the Regional Championship held in the last weeks of second term.
Training
Training sessions take place on the MFAC Main on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, starting early in term one, for all athletes.
Teacher in Charge
Mr Phil Coppock is one of the College’s Mathematics teachers. He is a passionate ex-triathlete and athletics coach who has overseen the College’s athletics and cross country program for the past 6 years. He is a Level IV ATFCA coach and has been a State coach for seven years and more recently been the Australia School Sport Coach.
