Flinders Football (Soccer)
Teams
The College fields teams in the Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Soccer Competition in both Senior Girls and Senior Boys divisions.
Competitions
The Matthew Flinders Anglican College Football (Soccer) teams play in the Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Soccer Competition. Games are played throughout Term 3. Girls games are on a Monday afternoon commencing at 4pm. Boys games are on a Tuesday afternoon commencing at 4pm.
All games are played on a home-and-away basis. Students must ensure they have transport both to and from ‘Away’ games. All games played at the scheduled time should be completed by 5.05pm and students should be picked up at that time.
Training
Training commences in Term 2 with training sessions on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon from 3.30 to 4.45pm on the Banana Oval (or at other times with consultation with the coaches eg lunchtimes).
Training in Term 3 is on a Wednesday afternoon for both Girls and Boys on the Banana Oval from 3.30 to 4.45pm (or at other times with consultation with the coaches eg lunchtimes).
Coaches
Flinders uses the services of Mr Frank Hawarth as coach for the soccer teams and also has a number of staff appointed to Soccer to assist with the teams.
Cost
Fees for Soccer, which include registration fees, referee fees, trophy levee, and break up is approximately $35 per season.

Uniform
Players wear the College sports uniform. They also need shin guards and these are to be covered by the socks available from the uniform shop.
