Australian football is a contact sport that is growing in popularity at Matthew Flinders Anglican College. It has been played since the school’s early years.

Teams

The College fields one boys Open team that consists of a 30-player squad and junior teams from Years 7–9.

Girls AFL has two teams from the Open and Junior division.

There are opportunities for boys in Years 4, 5 and 6 to participate in SCISSA competitions.

Competitions

Open boys play in the Josh Drummond cup, on Wednesday afternoons throughout Term 3. Other teams play in gala events throughout terms 2 and 3. Under 10 and under 12 boys teams play in SCISSA Terms 3 and 4.

Training

Open boys train Monday afternoons Term 3.

SCISSA training is conducted during lunchtime on Mondays during Terms 3 and 4.
