The College has a proud history of athletics success on the Sunshine Coast, being regular winners of the primary and secondary SCISSA championships. Many Flinderians represent their district, region and state at track and field.
There are two teams for athletics at the College, Primary (9–12 years) and Secondary (13–19 years).
The College fields both teams at the Independent District Championships. Successful students at the above events may gain selection to compete at regional, state and national championships.
The College may form teams at state and national teams knock-out events when interest is strong.
Training sessions take place on the Anthony Vincent Oval on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, starting early in term one and continuing until early in term four.
