The majority of our students are very physically active and whether they are talented runners or just having a go, selection in the College cross country teams is highly sought after each year. Running as part of the team often sees students achieving beyond their expectations. The College has a proud history of cross country success at district and regional levels.
Following Primary and Secondary School Inter-House Championships, the College selects a boys and girls team of 100 athletes, 6 from each age group from 9 to 19 years.
The team represents the College at the Independent District (SCISSA) Cross Country Championships, annually held in the middle of Term 2. Successful students at the above event may gain selection to compete at regional, state and national championships
Training sessions for Secondary Athletes take place on the Anthony Vincent Oval on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, starting early in Term 1. Morning training sessions are scheduled for Primary School students throughout early Term 2.
