Matthew Flinders Anglican College has again been named one of the top achieving academic schools in Queensland.
The Courier-Mail (March 3) has published a list of the leading schools comparing the percentage of OP 1-5 students from the Class of 2015, with Flinders named in 16th place.
In a large cohort of 138 OP-eligible students, 34.06% of Flinders’ students achieved an OP 1-5, including an impressive 10 OP1s, four OP2s and nine OP3s.
Also outstanding was the fact that 100% of the Flinders students who applied for a place, received a QTAC tertiary offer, with most commencing their university studies this week.
Principal Mr Bruce Winther said: “The consistently high OP results achieved by Flinders students over many years is a tribute to not only the excellent quality of our learning and teaching program but also to the ongoing focus on continual improvement. I applaud the hard work and commitment of our students to both the academic and co-curricular life of the College”.
