Outstanding sporting facilities include the centrepiece floodlit sports oval and additional oval, multi-purpose indoor Sports Centre including facilities for basketball, volleyball, netball, cricket, table tennis and gymnastics, a 25-metre eight-lane heated and floodlit swimming pool, a cricket turf wicket and cricket nets, four floodlit tennis and netball courts, and the Flinders Fitness centre (sports specific training facility and weights room) for team and individual training.
Drama and Music facilities are outstanding, including a world-class Performance Centre, centrally located and linking both the Primary and Secondary schools. This centre provides students with state-of-the-art facilities and has been designed to extend the choices of teaching methods at Matthew Flinders Anglican College.
The Flinders Performance Centre features tiered auditorium seating for 600 with room for up to 1000 in exhibition mode, orchestra pit, gallery and meeting space, and a dance studio. The building includes music teaching rooms and sound-proof practice rooms, indoor and outdoor seating for break-out sessions, function and event facilities, commercial kitchen, café and tuckshop, and a central Flinders Shop including uniform shop and bookshop.
The College also boasts a Lecture Theatre, Drama Theatre and the Flinders Chapel, a striking feature at the main entry to the College. These facilities are fully equipped with public address and audio visual systems and are well-utilised by the Flinders community.
The Primary School features modern classrooms and specialist areas including a Learning Centre, computer laboratory, art room, library, tuckshop, after school care and extensive music facilities, including individual practice rooms and instrument storage area.
A wide range of teaching aids is available, including interactive whiteboards, data projection, sound and amplification equipment, mobile audio visual trolleys and an online video streaming service. The culture of learning at the College is supported by a cutting-edge 1-1 Learning/Laptop Program, supported by high-speed wireless internet connection. Junior Primary students have laptops provided in their classrooms.
The Primary Pavilion is an outstanding facility boasting two sports courts and incorporating a storage shed and change rooms. The main music room opens through bi-fold doors to the pavilion, which creates a versatile venue hosting many events such as the Flinders Festival and Grandparents Day.
The Secondary campus boasts a specialist Year 7 block, Graphics and Information Technology classrooms, seven Science laboratories, Design and Technology centre, Art precinct including gallery, and working agricultural farm. The Quad is the central meeting place for students, and is bordered by the Lecture Theatre, Learning Support, Student Office, careers counsellors, and Secondary Library.
