Flinders Club Sports offer a wide range of sporting opportunities to our Sunshine Coast community.

OUR OBJECTIVE

To provide a wide range of sporting opportunities to students at Matthew Flinders Anglican College and also to young people in our local community by making sport accessible, enjoyable and challenging. We provide these outcomes in a supportive community to help participants develop their skills, character and networks.

FLINDERS CLUB SPORT COME & TRY DAYS

Flinders Netball Club, Flinders Football Club and Flinders Rugby Club will be hosting two Come & Try afternoons for players - new and returning - to meet our Directors and coaches and get a feel for the fun, skills and teamwork of Flinders Club Sports.

  • Thursday, 29 January 2026 - 3:15pm - 4:15pm (Red Shed and Anthony Vincent Oval)
ABOUT OUR CLUBS

There are four clubs across the sports of Football, Netball, Rugby and Cricket, with more than 500 registered junior players competing in competitions across the Sunshine Coast.

Our Flinders Club Sports are not only for Flinders students but are open to all children in the local community.

SPORTING LOCATIONS

Flinders Club Sports teams play at a range of venues across the Sunshine Coast, including the quality facilities at Matthew Flinders Anglican College in Buderim.

Some competitions expand as far as Caboolture in the south, Maleny in the west and Gympie to the north.

Registrations Now Open

Flinders Netball Club registrations are now open for the 2026 season.

We look forward to welcoming both returning players and new families to another exciting year on the court. Flinders Netball Club is open to girls and boys aged between 7 and 18 years of age.

Registrations are open via Netball Connect and close on Sunday, 1 February 2026

Registration Fees

Registration fees for the 2026 season are as follows:

  • Net Set Go - Green and Gold: $353.00
  • Net Set Go - White: $388.00
  • Junior Divisional: $388.00

Registration includes a complimentary Flinders Netball Club training shirt. Uniforms will be available to purchase for $70.00 from the Flinders Shop in Term 1, 2026.

Flinders Netball Club accepts Play On! Sports Vouchers. Please email a copy of your Play On! Voucher to netballclub@mfac.edu.au to finalise your registration.

Net Set Go & Divisions

Net Set Go and Junior Divisions are split into the following age ranges.

  • Net Set Go Green - Players born 2018 - 2019
  • Net Set Go Gold - Players born 2018
  • Junior White - girls and boys born 2016 - 2017
  • Junior Mixed - girls and boys born 2012 - 2014
  • Junior Divisional - girls born 2008 - 2015

Flinders Club Sports Volunteer Registration Form

Flinders Club Sports appreciates the willingness of our volunteers and is focused on developing and sustaining a connected and engaged community that shares a belief in the importance of our Flinders values and aspirations in education and physical education.

This online registration specifies the relevant WHS, Student Protection processes and our Community Code of Conduct that are for the safety of all engaged in the Flinders community.

Statement of Commitment

Flinders Club Sports supports the rights of all players or volunteers under 18 years of age and is committed to ensuring their safety, welfare and wellbeing. Flinders Club Sports is therefore committed to responding to allegations of player/volunteer harm resulting from the conduct or actions of any person including that of players, parents, volunteers or any other persons associated with the Club.

This commitment includes the provision of a safe and supportive living and learning environment for all players/volunteers and requires all volunteers, players and visitors associated with the Club to model and encourage behaviour that upholds the dignity and protection of under 18 years of age players and volunteers from harm.

In support of this commitment, Flinders Club Sports is dedicated to our Child and Youth Risk Management strategy which includes having relevant policies, procedures and training in place to effectively address the safety and wellbeing of under 18 years of age players and volunteers in our care.
