"On behalf of the Flinders Foundation I would like to welcome new families to Flinders as well as our returning families in 2021.
The Flinders Foundation plays a vital role in funding and supporting the development of significant programs and assets for the benefit of our students such as building projects and scholarships.
The Foundation’s vision is to support the College and to help create a sense of belonging amongst parents, students and staff, whilst engaging the wider community and encouraging philanthropy.
We have a number of exciting events planned for 2021 the first of which is our welcome to the Flinders community for new parents.
Secondly, as a result of the successful launch of The Ship’s Log, our community business directory, we are planning our first Business Breakfast event showcasing a noted speaker from the wider business community.
Thirdly, the return of the popular Flinders Foundation Winemaker’s Dinner in August. This event is a great opportunity to socialise and support our fundraising initiatives that contribute to building projects and scholarships.
In 2021, the Primary School will open the new Wonderarium learning resource centre as a place of Wonder, Curiosity and Creativity. The Wonderarum is wholly funded by the Flinders Foundation for the long-term benefit of students, current and future. Congratulations to our Head of Primary School, Trudi Edwards and Director of Business and Operations, Sharon Verinder, who together with the project steering committee turned this creative and innovative concept into reality. The Flinders Foundation is proud to fund this inspiring project.
This is your Flinders Foundation in action for 2021 – Connecting, Engaging and most importantly Supporting our Flinders community.
