CONNECT | ENGAGE | SUPPORT
“On behalf of the Foundation, I would like to thank our previous Chair, Travis Schultz for his hard work and commitment in bringing our community together during his tenure from 2016 to 2020. Travis’s enthusiasm and in particular his fundraising initiatives with the Winemakers’ Dinner have allowed us to continue our valuable work in the Flinders Community.
As we face challenging times in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Flinders Foundation has made some adjustments to our plans for 2020. One of those adjustments is the cancellation of our annual Winemaker’s Dinner which was planned for later in the year. We are looking forward to hosting this event again in 2021 with enthusiasm, and welcome the support of the Flinders community at that time.
Some positive news is the Foundation’s role in providing tangible financial support to those families adversely affected by the pandemic situation. The Foundation Board Management will allocate $100,000 towards fee relief for our current families who are facing financial uncertainty in the wake of the Coronavirus. This is in place of our second Foundation Scholarship, which would have been offered in 2021.
This is your Flinders Foundation in action –Connecting, Engaging and most importantly at times like this, Supporting our community”.
