Matthew Flinders Anglican College on the Sunshine Coast has once again been recognised as one of the “5-Star Best Schools” in Australia by The Educator.

For the second consecutive year, Flinders was awarded for its commitment to educational excellence, student wellbeing and providing students with the opportunities, skills and character needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
The Educator conducted a far-reaching analysis of the education industry to spotlight the schools that go beyond academic results by creating meaningful opportunities for student success. A total of 33 schools were named Australia’s 5-Star Best Schools in 2026, with the report recognising outstanding performance across six equal pillars:
- Co-curricular programs
- Student support
- Technology in learning
- Safety and wellbeing
- Holistic development
- Diversity and inclusion
College Principal Michelle Carroll said Flinders was honoured to once again be named as a leading school in Australia and recognised for its commitment to student growth and wellbeing.
