Swimmers from Flinders Set New Records at District Trials

Swimmers from Matthew Flinders Anglican College competed at the Independent Districts Schools Swimming Carnival last week with outstanding results. Overall, 33 swimmers from the College were selected to progress to the regional trials, the most from any independent district school. Both the Flinders Primary and Secondary School swim teams finished in second place.  Many of the swimmers set new records.

Primary School Achievements

The Primary team rallied and persisted after being in fourth position earlier in the day. In the 12-Years age group, Georgia E was the overall Age Girls Champion and Holly P was the runner up. Archie B was third place overall in the 11-Years age group while Hugo F finished 2nd overall in the 9-Years boys.

Secondary School Achievements

The Flinders Secondary swim team also finished second. Age Champions were Ryan B, Jaime P, Lia-Belle W, Sienna H and Noah R.
