Flinders P&F hosts sold-out Indian banquet cooking class

Flinders P&F Indian Banquet Cooking Class

Our Flinders P&F recently held their sold-out 'Learn how to cook an Indian banquet' class with Flinders parent, Ketaki Apte, who is a master at cooking Indian cuisine.

A big thank you to Ketaki for sharing her passion for Indian cooking and teaching the group of more than 20 parents, students and friends how to cook favourites, including butter paneer, chickpea curry and garlic naan.

Thanks also goes to Flinders Executive Chef Darren Frankling who helped with the event and to everyone who attended!

Flinders P&F, in conjunction with Food at Flinders, is excited to be hosting regular unique cooking events at Matthew Flinders Anglican College.

The events are held in our quality commercial kitchen, which is also used for daily meal preparation and cooking to keep our two College tuckshops stocked with healthy and nutritious food for our students and staff.

At each event, a Flinders parent shares their signature recipe, cooking or baking skill, or cultural foods with our community.

The first event, held in March, was also a great success, with our guests learning from talented Flinders parent Trent Collins the skills to baking the ultimate bagel.

The Flinders P&F want to know: do you have a cooking or baking talent that you would like to share with our Flinders families? If so, please email pandf@mfac.edu.au
