“Sounds of Summer” Concert is an annual end of year concert for the elite wind ensemble at Matthew Flinders Anglican College. The Wind Symphony, comprises of 60 students from Year 7 – 12 and is conducted by Mr John Thomas.
It gives the students an opportunity to showcase the vast repertoire learnt during the year. This year’s concert comprises of music from film soundtracks and original symphonic wind ensemble repertoire.
Guest performances from Saxophone, Percussion and Year 6 Woodwind Ensembles.
Year 12 band members will be recognised during the concert.
Following on the tradition, Old Flinderians will join in the final piece for the evening.
