It is our vision at Matthew Flinders Anglican College to provide each student with an inspiring education by providing opportunities for excellence in a compassionate and supportive environment.

Matthew Flinders Anglican College seeks to enrol students who are able to make a positive contribution to the life of the College and who will benefit from the academic, co-curricular and pastoral care programs. Applicants should demonstrate a willingness to take advantage of the extensive opportunities available and be sympathetic to the College’s Christian ethos.

Parents wishing to register their child/children on the waiting list should complete an Application for Registration and include:

  • A copy of the most recent school report and NAPLAN results (if applicable).
  • A non-refundable Registration Fee of A$200.

Intake Years

Primary School

  • Prep
  • Year 3
  • Year 5

Students are admitted into other year levels in the Primary School as places become available.

Secondary School

  • Year 7
  • Year 10

Students are also admitted into other year levels in the Middle School (Years 7–9) and Senior School (Years 10–12) as places become available.

Enrolment Procedure

  • Application for Registration

    On receipt of the completed Application for Registration, copies of latest school reports and the $200 (including GST) per student non-refundable Registration Fee, each student’s name is added to the waiting pool.

  • Invitation for an interview

    Several factors are considered prior to offers being made, including school reports, interview outcome, the gender balance in a year level, date of registration, and sibling connection. The enrolment policy may be varied at any time at the Principal’s discretion.

    Prior to acceptance, parents will be contacted and asked to attend an interview with their child/children. This interview allows discussion regarding academic and social progress. It also provides an opportunity for the College and families to become acquainted and for any questions to be answered.

  • Offer of a place

    Offers of enrolment are made to successful candidates within two or three weeks of the interview.

  • Acceptance of offer

    At the time of acceptance of an offer, the Enrolment Agreement must be signed by parents and a non-refundable Confirmation Fee of $800 (including GST) is payable to secure the place.
