Year 9 Digital Technologies

Subject Description

In today’s digital world, mobile applications have become powerful tools for connection, problem-solving, and engagement. This course explores how gamification—the use of game-like elements such as points, levels, rewards, and challenges—can be applied to app design to create engaging, purposeful digital solutions for real stakeholders. Students will tackle authentic problems, working to design and develop mobile applications that motivate and inspire users. The curriculum introduces core programming concepts alongside user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles, showing how these work together to create interactive and meaningful products.
