Parents researching a quality education on the Sunshine Coast are invited to visit Matthew Flinders Anglican College for its Secondary School Discovery Tours on Wednesday, 11 August - a public holiday in Brisbane for the Ekka Show.
Flinders Principal Stuart Meade said the College was experiencing high demand for enrolments as a growing number of families from Brisbane, interstate and overseas were choosing to relocate to the Sunshine Coast.
“Parents are seeking a quality education for their children - now more than ever,” Mr Meade said.
“The pandemic has revealed just how important an innovative, adaptable and caring school environment is for young people’s learning and wellbeing,” he said.
“Our Discovery Tours are a chance for families to experience firsthand the passion for teaching and learning, as well as rich co-curricular opportunities, that we nurture every day at Flinders.”

Flinders invites families to visit its Secondary School and tour either the Middle School (Years 7-9) or the Senior School (Years 10-12). Two tour times are available (9:15am and 11:45am) for each tour.
Guests will explore the 22-hectare campus' learning, sporting and creative arts facilities, and along the way meet Heads of School, staff and students, with the opportunity to ask questions in an informal setting.
At the tour’s conclusion, guests will be invited to a coffee catch-up with the Admissions Team and some of the College parents to learn about the day-to-day practicalities of starting a new schooling journey at Flinders.
The Precinct provides the Year 7 cohort with a welcoming, aspirational and technology-rich space to help boost learning engagement, encourage friendship bonds and ease the transition from the Primary years into the Secondary School community.
As part of the Masterplan, construction begins on the new Secondary Design Centre in 2022.
Tour places are limited. Families must book their place via this link.
Flinders also offers personalised tours to families throughout the year. To learn more, visit the Admissions page.
